Music education, reinvented

COVID-19 has impacted how we interact in so many ways, and choirs have been particularly affected. BYC is proud to present our reinvention of in-person rehearsals -- our virtual Musicianship Training Workshop, and the new Virtual Choir Project. Sign up your chorister below!

2020-21 Virtual Season

Spring is appearing all around us, and with it comes a sense of hope. As we enter into spring, join BYC for our second virtual choir project of the 2020-21 season - RENEWAL. Throughout March and April, BYC singers new and returning are invited to attend brief weekly rehearsals via Microsoft Teams. A final concert video will premiere on YouTube May 3rd, accompanied by a chorister celebration! April showers bring May flowers, and so too will our hard work blossom.

Instructions on how to record audio and video will be sent to choristers after enrolling. No special materials are needed - just a device (phone or computer) with audio and video capabilities!

Musicianship skills such as solfège, takadimi rhythms, scales, modes, and sight-reading will provide the foundation for more confident music-making.

One class will operate weekly with the option to add another class depending on registration numbers.
