Jordan Kinder has been singing and playing piano from a very young age. Originally from Southwest Missouri, she has been accompanying and teaching privately for over 10 years. Jordan received a bachelor’s in Vocal Music Education with an Instrumental Endorsement in piano and clarinet from Missouri State University in May 2016. While at Missouri State, she performed domestically and internationally with the Missouri State Chorale and Wind Ensemble.
Since graduating from MSU, Jordan has taught a variety of ages and classes with students of varying backgrounds. The past few years Jordan has focused on teaching elementary music, most recently teaching K-4 general music for Nixa Public Schools in Nixa, Missouri. Jordan is currently an itinerant elementary music teacher for Highline Public Schools. Jordan has accompanied elementary honor choirs, solos, small ensembles and secondary choral groups across Southwest Missouri. She also accompanied for Nixa High School theater as a rehearsal pianist and a member of the pit ensemble for the productions Annie, Into the Woods, Footloose and Pirates of Penzance.
Jordan is currently pursuing a Masters of Arts in Music with a focus in Kodaly from the University of Central Missouri.
