2021-22 Season Staff: Newcomers to BYC

Please welcome our new staff members for the 2021-22 season! You can read about all of our current staff here.

 

NEW TO BYC:  Jordan Kinder has been singing and playing piano from a very young age. Originally from Southwest Missouri, she has been accompanying and teaching privately for over 10 years. Jordan received a bachelor’s in Vocal Music Education with an Instrumental Endorsement in piano and clarinet from Missouri State University in May 2016. Since graduating from MSU, Jordan has taught a variety of ages and classes with students of varying backgrounds. The past few years Jordan has focused on teaching elementary music, most recently teaching K-4 general music for Nixa Public Schools in Nixa, Missouri. Jordan is currently an itinerant elementary music teacher for Highline Public Schools, and is currently pursuing a Masters of Arts in Music with a focus in Kodály from the University of Central Missouri.

NEW TO BYC:  Misha Guderian is so excited to join Bellevue Youth Choirs! She just moved to the Seattle area from Walla Walla, where she has taught music for the past five years. She has a B.S. in Music Education from Corban University, with an emphasis in choral and vocal education. Choir is her very greatest passion, and she is so excited to continue sharing her love of singing with young choristers.

NEW TO BYC: Dr. Jihun Cho currently operates her private piano studio and is an active accompanist. She was a music instructor at University of San Diego and moved to Seattle last year. Her research, “Cross-Cultural Teaching in Piano Studio” was published in the MTNA e-journal Sep/Oct 2015. She frequently presented related research work at prominent conferences including the international society for Music Education Conference, the European Association, etc. She received her DMA in piano performance and pedagogy from University of Wisconsin, and two MMs in piano performance and in piano pedagogy from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
