Bellevue Youth Choirs (BYC) seeks an experienced, passionate professional to lead the organization and artistic staff to growth and stability in the post-Covid era. With dynamic leadership the successful candidate will increase the number of choristers, engage parents and community volunteers, and encourage greater philanthropic support for its vision. 



Manage communications within and outside of BYC via website, newsletters and social media.

Work with the Board of Directors for strategic, operational, and financial planning. Manage organizational performance. Attend Board meetings and provide regular reporting.

Plan and execute a funds development strategy. Engage parents and community members to contribute time and resources to BYC.

Be onsite for rehearsals (Mondays 3:00 to 8:00 at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Bellevue, WA), concerts and activities.

Prepare grant applications and assure conditions of grants are met.

Hire and supervise all staff, including artistic lead, choir directors and accompanists.

In collaboration with artistic lead, oversee concert planning and help guide artistic goals.

Actively recruit choristers, maintain membership database, oversee income streams (tuition, online store, event ticketing, etc.) using Choir Genius (aka Groupanizer – training provided).

Plan community outreach events, activities, and tours for the choirs.



Required: BA degree with 5 years’ experience in an arts setting. The successful candidate will be skilled in public relations, marketing, grant writing and supervising an artistic staff.

Preferred: Music ensemble participation at a high level.



$35 to $45K commensurate with experience and qualifications.
