2024-25 Season:
In-person Choir Rehearsals
BYC choristers have returned to in-person choir rehearsals. We offer a wide variety of choirs for every age and ability. Discover which group may be best for your child here. Students in 3rd grade and up will need to sign up for a vocal placement session to find their choir placement. At this time, wearing a mask is optional. We will update our policies as the COVID-19 guidelines for children change.
All choirs welcome students of all genders! Singers with changed voices (tenors and basses) will find a choir home in the Coda Choir.
Musicianship Training
Rehearsals will include concentrated time working on the nuts and bolts of reading music in fun, engaging and uplifting ways, as only BYC can. Musicianship skills such as solfège, takadimi rhythms, scales, modes, and sight-reading will provide the foundation for more confident music-making.
