We are very excited to share “Home for the Holidays: A Virtual Choir Concert” with you! Thanks to all who were involved in this project in a variety of ways -
Singers in Musicianship Training and our special Virtual Choir group rehearsed with Artistic Director Nicholas Gorne and Lead Accompanist Nathan Shiu every week for a month
Along with Mr. Gorne and Mr. Shiu, BYC staff members Ginger Ellingson and Heidi McIlroy prepared guiding audio and video tracks for students’ use in practicing
Singers then recorded audio AND video tracks (as did staff! Look out for Mr. Shiu and Executive Director Madeleine Stephens)
Mr. Gorne then combined all separate audio and video into one performance.
Current and former students watched together via Microsoft Teams while writing holiday cards (found here). These cards were sent to residents of the retirement homes we usually visit in December.
You are also invited to write a note and send this concert to anyone who may need a little holiday joy right now!
